Great Expectations
Well today has been a great day. Got some things accomplished at the office this morning. I then finished preparing for the radio program this morning and thankfully Kentucky knocked of Alabama in the SEC tournament.
Recently I have been wrestling with the quality of ministry that our church and other churches are providing. Our church is a busy church with many programs that reach many people. However, I have been asking the question "what are we really accomplishing?" We are seeing people come to Christ but what are we doing with them after they trust Christ as their Savior?
I am afraid that all to often we are not communicating God's expectations for their lives. I think we could do a much better job at equipping people to fulfill God's expectations. I am praying that God will continue to develop the desire within me to equip the saints. And I am praying that God will reveal a plan to us that will enable us to see real transformation in the lives of the saints at HGBC.
Due to the overwhelming conviction I am feeling about this I can't help but believe that God is getting ready to do a great work in our church. I am so excited about where we are going. I can't wait to experience what God is going to do!
